My fiance and I had two kids before we moved to Shreveport, where she learned about Embrace Grace. At the time, we were pregnant with our youngest child, and I'm not sure what led her to the program, but I was the one taking her every week. I got to meet everybody, and right away, I could tell that they were all really good, genuine, loveable people. From the start, they cared about our family and still offered to help us with things. Embrace Legacy helped repair my family. When they invited me to Embrace Legacy, I went, and everything changed for the better. The classes taught me more about life and my responsibilities and, most importantly, brought me closer to God.
It's easy to get caught up in the world, you know, with work and kids. Embrace Legacy has taught me to always keep God first and always give God His time. When I lost my father in 2020, I fell into a depressive state, and four years later, I'm finding my way back to a healthier me. I can definitely say Embrace Legacy has been a big part of that journey. Since I've been in this program, I've been doing better and handling life things differently. I remember one lesson where one of our leaders said, "If you can't handle the small things God gives you, you won't be able to handle the big things," that has definitely stuck with me. You have to take the things God has given you, embrace them, and love them. I know if I master the small things, the sky is the limit! Embrace Legacy has been a really good experience. I would recommend it to anyone.
